Compass Airlines received its FAA ATOS certification on April 5, 2007 and began commercial airline service on May 2, 2007. The business focus of the airline is to provide safe and reliable air transportation and great customer service through the operation of 36 new state-of-the-art Embraer 175 aircraft featuring dual class service - 12 first class seats and 64 seats in coach - as well as spacious interiors and comfortable leather seats with adjustable head rests. As a result of the merger between Northwest and Delta Air Lines, Compass joined the Delta Connection family and will serve to primarily feed Delta's hubs at Minneapolis/ St Paul, Detroit and Memphis. We operate more than 150 flights daily under the watchful care of over 800 employees system-wide. Compass Airlines is currently headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, approximately 5 miles south of Dulles International Airport, but is scheduled to relocate to Minneapolis, MN in late 2009.
